Right now in my book Jack, Ed and there
crew are on a bus with a grown-up that is not diseased. They are worried that
he might eat them but he hasn’t so far. There are othe people on the bus that
the boys don’t know. Since they are from an all-boys school many of their
friends are with them. There are some knaggy girls on the bus that are talking
to Jack and Ed obnoxiously. Ed is a cool kid as Jack puts it and Jack always
thought him second to Ed. Since the disease spread Jack has taken command and
Ed hasn’t the guts to hurt or kill anything. I like this because Jack wasn’t so
cool because of his “strawberry” scar and know it makes him look tough and Ed
is not a good fighter. I like this because the tables have turned and there is
someone else in control. Jack and Ed were running away when they were grabbed
by the truck and they had just saved a girl from a building along with her cat.
Her father was the French teacher at the school whom jack had just killed. He
did not tell her but felt bad. They were walking along without jack since he
was headed out for England with the religious people. Ed was walking he was in
charge and he was worried. Suddenly and ambush of diseased teenagers attacked
them and they lost many people including Ed’s best friend. This is when the bus
came and picked them up. Along the way they picked up Jack and his small crew.
That is how much I have read so far.

I really like this book and it is the
sequel to The Enemy and I think it is
very cool. The characters are different but they all seem to have the same
characteristics as the old characters. Some of them are brave some are funny
and they can all relate to a person In the previous book. I like this because if
you liked the first book then you are more likely to like this one. It would
not be the same if the characters were different but I feel that I would also
like it if the characters were different to. I think the author is pulling me
into the book by making the action and or drama not stop. When they weren’t fighting
zombies they were bickering with the girls. I like this because it never really
gets you bored. I think that is important in a book and that is something I look
for in a book and also a series.

So far in the book I think that the
theme is Survival. I think it was quite obvious how it is survival is the theme
because they are fighting off zombies and defending themselves from the
disease. I would say that this theme is not only in the character plot bitu in
the whole book and/or series because it is not only about the characters defending
themselves but the people all over England and also the diseased are trying not
to die. That is why I think it is quite obvious that the theme is survival and
why I think the whole book is about it. I think it would be hard to pick a
different theme but I feel this is a great book and has a lot of themes I just
have to find them.

My favorite character in the book right
now is Jack. I really like how he went from unpopular to king of the group and
he is the one that leads the group. I feel that I can connect to him because I
like to be a leader and I play many sports so I think I can relate that way. I
also like him because he is not afraid to voice his opinion. I like this
because in the book I never have to tell him to get mad at someone so he does
it anyway. I know that seems weird how I want him to get mad, it goes back to their
always being action and with more yelling there is more action. That is why I
like Jack the most
5.
My least favorite character is Frederique because she was the one to slow them down in
the first place and she never seems to do any good she just seems to screw
things up. Recently her cat had to take a poop and she was waiting outside of
the bus with Jack. The cat went into the bushes and Greg the bus driver says if
he sees any grownups then they are getting out of there without them Ed was
standing in the door way so they couldn’t close jack and Frederique were
watching the cat. Jack could see some slow grownups far in the mist but Greg
could not see them the cat was taking a very long time. Then Greg saw the
grownups and told Ed to move. He didn’t but Jack couldn’t see the cat but
apparently the girl could. Jack told her it was just a cat so go get it and if
it gets scared and runs away then just go back to the bus. She does the cat runs
away so they go back to the bus. Then the cat comes to Frederique and onto the
bus. The bus starts to move since the grownups are nearly there. Jack has to
sprint for his life while Ed tries to grab him while hanging out the door.
Eventually he grabs him and they are in safely. This is why I don’t like her
since she put everyone’s life in danger just for her cat to go poop and not get
scared.

My
prediction is that they are going to meet up with some of the people from the
previous book if not all then just a few. I feel this way because in the
prequel to this book some people broke up from the rest and I think it would be
a good story and also would be cool. I think also because they are in the same
place (London) and are all headed to Buckingham palace where the other group
was. I think the author is guiding this because at first I thought this as well
but I heard they wanted to go to the country side I sort of lost hope. But Greg
said that the country side was full of humans and that they were headed to the
Palace. This is what gave me hope that I was going to be right. I do hope my
prediction is correct because I would want to be even eager for the third and
final book to see how they put it all together. I would really look forward to
it and I would hope I love the book.
