1) Right now in the book Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz Alex Rider had escaped the grasp of Desmond McCain but has to go back for he had to catch him and stop him but Desmond Recaptures Alex and brings Alex down to a river after explaining his idea to start a plague the stop and cure it which would make him 100 millon pounds he then forces Alex to hang from a pole above the river and then leave Alex to be eaten by the jumping crocodiles.
2) I feel that so far this book has keep me on my toes waiting to the turn the page just painstakingly indulging in each word as it comes across my vision. The Characters personalities and roles playing such a big part in the book and they help the structure in the book so much with making the plot so thick and suspenseful and without them by that meaning with different characters. I don't think I would like the book half as much as I do now and the evil doer Desmond McCain as well as the fake first aid charity that is used in very sick way just to get money.
3) I think that the theme of the book was good versus evil. I say that the them of the book was good versus evil because there is your definite good side of the situation which is Alex Rider who tries to fight for the rights of the people and try to defeat evil whenever he was sent on his missions. Then you have another side of the story being Desmond McCain the evil billionaire who steals from the public charity and cause real disasters and then ending them and then be called a samartin hero when actual he almost killed thousands of people.
4) My favorite character in the book is Alex Rider. The reason I chose Alex Rider as my favorite is because of his loyalty to his organization that being MI6 which has been sending him on missions that would be almost impossible for even the most senior field agents. Another trait that made Alex my favorite character was his courage he has been kidnapped almost murdered and held hostage by adults and he is in his mid teens and is looking them in the face and mocking them yet still understanding his perdicament.
5) My least favorite character in the book is Desmond McCain. Desmond McCain was my least favorite character because primarily of his just pure evil intent. Charities really help people and show how how the human spirit is full of goodness and then to go make a fake charity and take people's money putting so many at risk and just for a paycheck when someone in need could really use that money it's just awful. Also he is a killer he has no regard for life he just wants towson through life defrauding people and then if you try and end that they would become a target for doing the right thing for example Harry Bulman gets some information from Alex and tries to release it he is killed by Desmond.
6) My prediction is that the book is going to end with Alex Rider finally escape from the sight of a Desmond McCain and get back to his headquarters at MI6 and regroup form a new plan pick up some gadgets and then return and capture Desmond and save the world from evil once again.
1. I felt that Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz was a very good book. I think that the author included many details throughout the book, that turned the book into a great book. I think there is just the right amount of action, and I think this book was a good way to end my favorite series.
ReplyDelete2. I felt that your blog post was good. Some of your vocabulary was good, but sometimes I thought you could have used it in different places. Also, your spelling and grammar was great. I found very few spelling and grammatical mistakes.
3. I agree with you when you said that Alex Rider was your favorite character. He was my favorite character too, and he kept me entertained throughout the entire book. He was always able to make quick decisions, which allowed him to get out of shaky situations.
4. I disagreed with you when you said that the theme was good vs. evil. The theme good vs. evil is in every single Alex Rider book. Each book has a different feel to it, and I think that you could have chosen a different theme.
1. I felt that Crocodile Tears was a very good book, and it was my second favorite in the series, after Stormbreaker.
ReplyDelete2. I felt your blog post was good, and I agreed with almost everything you said. You used good words, but to the point that it would sometimes not make sense.
3. I agree with you that Desmond was the worst character. He was a sick person who didn't care for anybody but himself, and he was probably the best villain in the series because of how evil he was.
4. I disagree that Alex was the best character, however. I almost don't like Alex, because he almost doesn't take most of the jobs to save the world, too focused on himself to do them, and always acting almost independently, for better or for worse because he hates MI6, even though they are on his side.
5. Luke, I agreed with you that good vs. evil wasn't the best theme because it is in every Alex Rider book, but it is also a very prevalent theme in the book.
This book is on my someday list because I have read other books in this series and I would like to continue the series and what I have heard from other people is that this book is very good. I enjoyed your blog post and it fasinated me, so I would keep this book on my someday list.I really like your second promp because Alex Rider is my favorite characters in other books in the series also. I also enjoyed how you described him especially when you said he look people in the eye and mocked them all while there is a chance that he will be murdered. I thnk your theme good versus evil is a great choice because it is present through out the series and it is the backbone of the plot. As you said Alex Rider the MI6 agent is the good side and Desmond McCain who is a billionare who steals from charities as the bad side. I have not used this theme before but I might use in a future blog post. I also enjoyed reading Scott and Luke's comments. Scott said that this is his second favorite book in the series and I hope that I will like it as much as he did.
ReplyDeleteyou made me want to read this book. I think this could be one of my favorites. I love the series and this could be one of the best. I just don't know why you didn't mention your favorite character. I think it must be alex rider because he is the only good guy in the book but I don't know. But it seems like luke , scott, and reed either like it or want to read it so you did a good job. I hope this as good a book as you say.
ReplyDeleteHey, John. I thought this book was an awesome book that would definitely be one of my favorites. Your blog post was very well-written and it was hard to find something that I didn't agree with. I agreed with everything you said in the blog, such as the theme: Good v. Evil. This is because Alex always represents the good side and Desmond McCain is the bad side since he take money from charities and tried murdering Alex for beating him in a game of cards. Something that I see only a little bit differently is Alex's loyalty to MI6. I'm not sure the word "loyal" best suits Alex's relationship with MI6. By the time he is in this book, I'm pretty sure he's sworn off doing missions for them. But I guess he is one of their best agents so I don't entirely disagree with you. By the way, Bobby. I see that you said that John didn't include his favorite character, but he actually did. I don't blame you though, I had a hard time finding it too since it looks like it is a part of #3.
